SLPSD Bond Proposition Site

To the members of our community, stakeholders, and employees,
the St. Landry Parish School District (SLPSD) bond proposition site is intended to provide you with information relative to two proposed bonds for SLPSD. On March 24, 2018, the voters of St Landry Parish will authorize the district to issue a bond in an amount not to exceed $99 million dollars to fund our master plan for the future of SLPSD. In addition, the voters will also authorize the district to levy a property tax to supplement the salaries of all employees of SLPSD.

Location: Opelousas Walmart Parking Lot (Under the big tent.)
We will be celebrating "The Week of the Young Child."

Board Approves Make - Up Days

As of February 1, 2018, SLPSB has approved the following updates to the school calendar due to 7 weather-related instructional days loss:
Wednesday, February 14 will be a full day of school.
Friday, March 16 will become a regular day ( was a professional development and parent-teacher conference day)
Friday and Monday, May 18 and 21 will become full days (previously half days)
High School Seniors last day will be Thursday, May 10, 2018.

No School for Washington Elementary School Students Wednesday, March 14, 2018

Washington Elementary will remain closed tomorrow, Wednesday, March 14th. The town of Washington’s water will not be on in order to make repairs to its infastructure during that time frame. Hopefully, all repairs will be completed Wednesday. All staff members will report report to work tomorrow as normal. Due to the loss of instructional minutes, WES will have extended days until that time is made up.
